BluOS 3.6 Integrates IDAGIO Into BluOS Enabled Products

BluOS, the premium multi-room music management platform by Lenbrook International, just released version 3.6 of the BluOS system.

Users will be prompted to update their BluOS players, at which time they will gain access to two new streaming services – IDAGIO and Radio.com – as well as Google Assistant and support for MQA-CD in the NAD Masters M50.2 and the BLUESOUND VAULT. BluOS is the exclusive hi-res multi-room streaming partner for IDAGIO.

NEW STREAMING SERVICES
Idagio and Radio.com join the 20 other eclectic streaming services already available to BluOS users, expanding the variety and sources of audio content that can be enjoyed on BluOS Enabled products.

IDAGIO
BluOS is the exclusive hi-res multi-room streaming partner for IDAGIO, the leading classical music streaming service. Crafted in Berlin by a world-class team of over 80 passionate experts in technology, business, and design, IDAGIO offers a search tailor-made for classical music, a catalog of over 2 million licensed tracks, and exclusive recordings and playlists curated by renowned experts – all available in CD-quality sound FLAC (16-bit/44kHz). IDAGIO has subscribers in over 190 countries and the app has been downloaded more than 1.5 million times worldwide.

RADIO.COM
RADIO.COM is an integrated digital platform where consumers discover and connect live with the Entercom portfolio of premium, curated content powered by over 235 highly rated, locally programmed radio stations and their websites. RADIO.COM, the fastest growing digital audio app in the U.S., currently has over 300 stations and more than 3,000 podcasts, with more added continuously on its rapidly growing platform. RADIO.COM offers anytime, anywhere access through the RADIO.COM mobile app and website, and home and auto-connected devices, including Amazon Echo, Amazon FireTV, Sonos, Roku, Google Home, Google Chromecast, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and many more. RADIO.COM is a part of Entercom, a leading American media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the country.

GOOGLE ASSISTANT
BluOS users who prefer Android can now have voice control over their players using Google Assistant. Using Google’s proprietary skill-based system called “Actions on Google”, BluOS users can use commands like “Hey Google, talk to Blue Voice to play preset 3 in the kitchen,” or “Hey Google, talk to Blue Voice to set the default player to the bedroom.” Track selection, volume, repeat and other commands are also possible. The full list of playback commands using Google Assistant can be found on the BluOS support website.

MQA-CD PLAYBACK AND RIPPING
Owners of BLUESOUND’s VAULT and NAD Masters M50.2 BluOS Enabled players will be able to rip and store MQA-CDs. In many countries around the world, the CD is still a popular medium for music listening. The unique way in which MQA-CDs are encoded allows them to deliver richer, more natural sound. With the forthcoming BluOS software update, not only will Bluesound Vault and NAD Masters M50.2 owners be able to decode and play back MQA content from an MQA-CD, but also rip and store that content to their players, with all the benefits of MQA content intact.

Jeff loves music. He also loves band t-shirts, which has become something of an obsession. There's a vintage Roxy Music t-shirt on eBay for $299 he is absolutely going to get when he starts making the big bucks.
