Consider that, in 2015, it cost Rihanna $50,000 to create a hit song, according to an article written by independent rapper/singer Kellee Maize:

• Production – $20,000
• Vocalist – Essentially free, as Rihanna was the singer
• Mixing & Mastering – $15,000
